An estimate of 100 million disposable diapers go into landfills everyday and 1 regular disposable diaper takes 250 years to decompose. Imagine what environment our children will grow up with… That’s why mommy Jenny created the Bamboo Dappy Cloth Diapers.

These one-size washable cloth diapers easily adjust to baby’s size and are made from real bamboo fibers.

So what are the benefits of bamboo fibers?

- They are 60% more absorbent than cotton

- Soft and non-synthetic

I’m always on the lookout for possible ways to help our environment. I always bring my eco friendly bag when i go to the grocery. I have always wanted to use an eco friendly diaper for my 4 month old baby and Bamboo Dappy will be able to help me achieve that :)

I help the environment by doing our share of trash segregation at home. I would like to have a Bamboo Dappy so when our baby boy comes in March/April, he’ll also be able to help the environment! – Elaine Serranilla, evserranilla@yahoo.com

My son goes through three or four disposable diapers a night, and after a few mornings of seeing how much trash my little one generates, I felt horribly guilty about how much plastic was being consumed in making sure my son’s bottom stays dry. I immediately switched to cloth diapers. Winning a Bamboo Dappy will add to our current stock of cloth diapers at home, which is also in preparation for baby number 2 who will be joining our family in May. :) Hopefully, with the new baby, he can start with cloth diapers at an earlier age compared to his brother. :)

    Hello Momtrepreneur!

I try to help the environment by using reusable bags when shopping especially when doing the groceries, I also try and segregate trash in our home and as much as possible veer away from using plastic items (such as plastic bags and plastic containers).

I help the environment by going paperless. I opted to receive billing statements thru email rather than having it printed. I also pay bills online to avoid having to print out receipts. We also use cleaning rags instead of paper towels. For my baby, we use cloth wipes. At the office, I use my own coffee cup instead of paper or plastic cups.
I hope to win Bamboo Dappy Diapers. Aside from using such is better for the environment, my baby will have lesser issues with irritated bottoms due to diaper rash. Oh, Bamboo Dappy Diapers are fashionable too! Perfect for my baby. :)

I help the environment by saving and recycling water. I want a Bamboo dappy so that my 6months old baby girl can enjoy dry bottom all day without me being guilty for adding garbage in our bin :)

  12. Margie Cruz-Amante 17. Feb, 2012 2:17 AM #

To reduce the use of plastic, I use the grocery’s reusable bags or I bring my own reusable canvas bag. Whenever I’m at home, my baby uses cloth diapers (lampin) which I personally monitor (it’s make up time with my child since I work full-time). We only use disposables when she sleeps at night and during trips. We reuse plastic bags as liners for our trash bins and my dad does composting.

I prefer bringing my own water bottle instead of buying bottled water. For take outs, refrain from asking for spoon, fork or drinking straws. By doing this, I’m helping mother earth with less garbage. Another way of helping is by recommending bamboo Dappy cloth diapers.

How do I help the environment? By simply not throwing my trash everywhere. I throw them in the trash bin. It is simple but in the long run really a big help with regards to the garbage accumulation problem especially if many people will do the same. With my baby, I am using organic products on him. Much safer for him and is helpful for the environment. From organic wash to organic cloth diapers. I do believe that the little things that I do for the environment will always go along way. <3

I help the environment by always using me eco bag every time i do groceries to eliminate using of plastic bag. Segregation of trash (bio-degradable/non bio-degradable). And will be using a bamboo dappy cloth for my baby boy due next month march…

  20. gem 20. Feb, 2012 1:17 AM #

I like to save all the recyclable materials we get from our day-to-day shopping: cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, etc. Nevermind that they take up so much space at home! We compile them into large sacks and once the sacks are filled up with the respective items, we take them to a nearby recycling center. You wouldn’t believe how much recyclable materials there are in a month’s worth of shopping and groceries!!! I want to win the bamboo dappy to complement my lifestyle of reducing, reusing and recycling— no to disposable diapers, which can’t be recycled at all, and takes years to decompose!!

Everyone knows that planting trees can help the environment. Trees sequester (trap) CO2 emissions, minimizing the effects of global warming. They also have many other beneficial effects. Trees cool your home, reducing the energy used for cooling. Trees improve mental health. Trees increase property values. Trees reduce urban runoff and capture dust particles from the air. Trees reduce noise pollution.

I am a Chemist by profession that is why I know what are the chemicals that are really harmful to our environment and to people as well. I am actually a Natural Mom advocate and I am part of their campaign to go natural. Instead of chemically treated medicine, we are using herbal plants to cure cough and colds. I believe that the use of natural products will help our environment in healthy way that is why I have also decided to shift my son from using disposable diaper to cloth diaper. I know for a fact that disposable diapers cannot be degraded and it has harmful chemicals that once get in contact with the baby’s skin can cause rashes and infections. Shifting to cloth diaper does not only saves our mother nature but also makes a lot of money savings.

I always bring our own bag when we do grocery shopping and reuse/ recycle containers to do our share in the green movement. I likewise prefer sending documents through soft copies via e-mail than printing hard copies as my way of protecting our trees. Now, I am convinced to try cloth nappies for my daughter Abrielle since her diaper consumption likewise increases as she grows.

Whenever I go to markets, I always make it a point not to ask for plastic bags. What I did was to bring a paper bag or if I bought a lot of groceries, I ask the bagger to box them.
