Give me back my body!

18 Feb

Being a mother of 3, an entrepreneur, a blogger and everything else in between, my daily schedule is very hectic and usually chaotic.   And even if I want to stay youthful, fit and sexy, squeezing in exercise time is sometimes almost impossible.  The best I can do is to be able to jump on the treadmill once or twice a week for 30-40 minutes, depending on the day’s work load.

You see, I am turning 40 this year and I am panicking, call it mid-life crisis if u want.  But I desperately want to regain my figure from before.  I was a model during my younger days and   I’ve always been fit and slim all my life.  Plus,  even after I had my first child, I had time to go to the gym and workout  4 times a week for 2 hours a day… so I had a sculpted body – I had a flat stomach, defined abs, sculpted arms and shoulders and a butt u can bounce coins on… the only problem I had when going to the beach is what color of 2-piece bathing suit to bring with me… I loved going to events and parties as I can fit into anything and look spectacular in it….  Hayyy!  Those were the days…

But these past 3 years, the pounds and inches have slowly been piling on. Especially this past month, I have been drinking and stress eating.  Suddenly my clothes are too snug, my belly is flabby, my face is bloated, my legs jiggly, my butt is saggy and I have batwings that can put Batman to shame…..  So now I am on an urgent quest to find something to help me speed up the slimming process.  I want to reclaim my fab self before I blow the candles on my 40th birthday cake.

I know a lot of moms out there can relate to my situation, we squeeze in some exercise, go on the Atkins diet, South Beach diet, Dukan diet, 3 day diet etc.  We have tried xenical, lipout, etc.  We have stopped or lessened our intake of rice, bread and pasta… Still the scale and tape measure says the same thing – Spanx is still our best friend.  And with aging, slowing down our metabolism, we need help, fast!

But with so many slimming centers nowadays, the question is which one will give us results.  Here are some ads I have come across:

I see Marie France ads everyday in the newspapers, but what recently caught my eye is their newest ad which says "Money-back guaranteed!"

Belos Sexy Solutions - I admit I was tempted when I saw Ruffas billboard... But then, she has always been sexy...

I've seen their ads and testimonials, and have inquired...but I dont personally know anyone who has tried it...

I have inquired in their clinic... but still having second thoughts...

Cathy Valencia skin & body

Biocare

Plus there is a lot of smaller and less expensive clinics, also groupon deals offering slimming treatments like: lipo cavitation, RF treatments, biometrics, lipo dissolve etc.

Now…Which one should I try?  And which one can give me results? Also being a mom, I have to consider other factors such as cost and time.  Which is more affordable or worth spending our hard earned money on?    It’s all so confusing!  I wish these clinics would have free trial offers and not just those free 15 mins trials which just leave as more confused.  But trials  that will give us a glimpse of what they can REALLY offer us in the long run.

So to help other mommies out there, I will do some research and update you on which one I will try.  I will also give updates on my results and progress.  Wish me luck!

P.S. For those who have tried any of the following slimming treatment and centers,  or if u know of other slimming clinics, pls feel free to post feedbacks.  :)  Thanks

I’ve personally tried MF before, when I was trying to lose weight (without exercising too much) before my wedding. I forgot the name of the treatment, but it only takes 30-40mins and should be done not more than 3-4 times a week. The MF office was near my office, so I usually scheduled the treatment during my lunchbreak since I only take 10-15mins for lunch. :) I was able to lose INCHES in just a week’s worth of sessions.

But if I can recommend you something NOT from your list, you might want to try VIGEN’s services. It’s located along Wilson Street in San Juan, and they give really great packages/discounts for their services. I had a trial of their RF slimming treatment (sorry, forgot actual name) and I really lost 2inches (yes, 2 INCHES, not CM!!!) from my waistline in that single session. A separate session on my thighs, and I was able to lose 1.5inches from the circumference of the thighs. I think this might be more worth your money since the results are instantaneous (what more if you get a continuous treatment till you reach your ideal size/weight?). :) Their prices are not bad for your wallet (compared to the companies above) either.

You can call VIGEN at 7487545 or 6231181. I haven’t been there in a while since I’m carrying my 2nd baby (due to give birth anytime now), but plan to go back there for treatment once breastfeeding schedule (and finances, hehe) are fully established. :)

Just like you, I’ve tried almost everything to get my body back. Until last year, someone introduced me to Herbalife, and I lost 20 Lbs in less than 3 months! It’s been more than a year now and I’ve kept the weight off with no difficulty. I can recommend you to my Herbalife coach if you’re interested. Good luck!

I’ve discovered many raw foods sit well with me. But soy, a staple of a vegetarian diet, bloats me up and makes me feel awful. Even though I love the taste and the idea of soy being a meat-replacement for protein, my body hates how it reacts inside of me. If I have a nibble here and there when I’m feeling balanced and strong in my immunity, I can sometimes tolerate it. But generally, soy makes me feel unwell.
